What is a fatwa?
A fatwa is a legal opinion or ruling in Islam, issued by a scholar based on Islamic scriptures. It covers various aspects of life and is not universally binding, but individuals may choose to follow it based on the authority of the issuing scholar. Fatwas address diverse issues, and interpretations can vary among different Islamic traditions.

Sharia Board Endorsement
Imam Dr. Syed Alnajjar

Dr. Sayed Alnajjar is a College Professor at the Islamic University, Board member, and the religious director in one of the major Mosques in WA. He studied at Al-Azhar al-Sharif in Egypt.
Dr. Alnajjar holds a BA and MBA degrees in the Islamic Economic System from City University of Seattle, and a Ph.D. in Islamic Studies from the Islamic University. Dr. Alnajjar holds Ijazah (Qur'anic Testimony) and he is also the author and translator of several books on the Islamic Religion.
